Lily Kate Powell, aged 9, passed away in a tragic car accident on August 17, 2017. She is remembered for being an incredibly loving person, often going out of her way to make others feel special and loved. Her passion for music, dance, theater, and art formed the basis for our Foundation's initiatives.

Our Purpose

The Love Like Lily Foundation honors the memory of Lily Kate Powell in its support of the arts, education, and spreading acts of kindness through events like the #LoveLikeLily Challenge, observed each year during the month of February.

The Lily Kate Memorial Scholarship provides funds for private lessons in the performing and visual arts to deserving students at the John S. Davidson Fine Arts Public Magnet School in Augusta, GA. 

Our Choral Commissioning Project endeavors to support the creation of significant choral works by connecting distinguished choirs at all levels with renowned composers, and facilitating and funding collaborations.
